i love the sequental turn signal lamps in the rear for the old cougars. i want to wire a set into my 1975 electra has any body done this before? o No: ________ Baby mac
http://www.blinkblink.com/ OR http://www.foxthundercats.com/ They both claim they work if you have 3 lights in the back. I was thinking of doing this to my Lesabre....just haven't gotten there yet.
i contacted blinkblink and they said they have a kit for the 4 lightbulbs per side for 150$ plus shipping ________ Herbalaire Vaporizer
toying with idea I have also been toying with the idea of adding this to my 69 Electra - for a purist it's a BIG step - but I REALLY like it
Whoa, that's cool. I'm assuming this would be legal? If you try this let me know how it goes, I have a 76 Electra I think that would look sharp on. I wonder if the companies actually make the stuff themselves or if they just figured something out and sell it at a high price.
I'm wondering if it would look good with the reflectors in the 75 Electra's taillights. How about making blinking parking lights in the rear bumper? It would look like a school bus and people wouldn't think you own a Ford
Im getting the kit from blink blink. they have one for four lights. its 150 plus shipping. I cant wait ive got a 75 electra ________ Mazda s platform
this is my auction i forgot to ask if any one on the board wanted it first, so here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7933937806&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT sorry ________ Gong bongs
and this is made by me http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=59760 it can be made on any fabric or vinyl ________ Video Review
If the 1975 tail lights are the same as the 1976, I don't think the reflectors would be a problem because when the lights are on, you can't really notice the reflectors.
i ordered the kit. i hope its here before thanksgivin so i have something to do. also anybody know why my bat wire on the dist is not ketting power. i had the firewall ground loose dont ask me how it got loose and saw sparks coming from the starter 1 night. also my turnsignals dont work but hazards do.the fuse box is not getting power on either side of the fuse, but the engine cranks. :af: :af:  and also what wire goes to the rear window defogger relay under the dash. i intalled it myself from the yard, but i cant seem to find the plug. (glass one not the fan).thanks ________ Rc51
If your turn signals don't work (I assume they stay on) and all the lights flash when the hazard flashers are on (2 in the end of each taillights, one in each front parking light lenses total = 6!), the problem could be the flasher unit. If I remember well, both the flasher and the 4 way flasher units are mounted on the fuse box on 75's, reverse the one at the top of the box and the one at the bottom to see if the flashers work and the 4 way flashers don't... The hazard is at the top of the fuse box and the flasher is at the bottom. As for the heated glass, I will have to look at my manuals... I'm not sure it is covered in the 75 chassis manual.
How hard was the installation of the rear glass? I have a rear blower defogger and it just doesn't work like the heated wires do.
max 10 hours. but i would aslo sand and primer the rear window lip. they rust out bad there. im gonna gte some por 15 and encapsulate the rust. cutting the old sealant was the hardest part, but once your in, you can cut it out in less then 2 hours, i was by my self when i did mine. also waht i meant about the turn signals is that they dont work along with no spark at my dist. the main power wire there is not getting any power. what could that be o No: ________ L platform
I had a problem with a fusible wire near the starter on my 75 Electra which made most accessories inoperative. I don't remember what worked and what didn't but most accessories and the engine didn't work! (I think that the headlights did work, I'm not sure). I just had to remove that wire and replaced it with a new fusible wire and all the electrical problems were solved! About the defroster wiring, the 75 and 76 manuals do not explain it. There was probably a separate manual for the defroster as there was one for the windshield wipers... My 74 shop manual does show the heated glass defroster wiring but the 74 dash is completely different. If you still need it, I'll try to take pictures of the wires on my 75 which has the heated glass, maybe it will help a bit...
