Gee mate you don't want to take to many jobs on at once. The job you are doing with the Buick is bigger than Ben Hur. The Mk11 Capri good choice. My son has a MK1 70 fitted with 302V8 Windsor & 9inch. Has two different bonnets for the car & wheels to make it a stocker looking or tough street.

The capri will be my daily driver when it's done
it's not gonna be perfect so i think i will hevan it on the road at the end off this year.
It's got a 2 liter 4 banger in it with a 4 spreed manual :Brow:

and in a carpi you can fit quitte a lot of engines

When it's on the road i will start on the buick again
( i'm already feeling quitte sorry for not working on it )

    Greetings Lennard

    hey guy's

it's been a while since i posted pics of my progress on the century
mainly because i've had a few minor setbacks in my live ( problems at school, To much work on a daily te get it running ) that have taken a lot of time.

but now i can again seem to find more time to work on my great car
lately i've been busy with the rear quarter panel and corrected my mistakes
also i've finnished almost all the welding on the lower area.

currently i'm busy working on the pannels surounding the right quarter window since these are all quitte rotten ( gee big surpise  )

also i've got a secondhand edelbrock performer intake from don ( fastest430 ) :TU:

here are the pictures off the progress

    first the performer intake :3gears:

You are doing a GREAT job. I'm so happy to see that you love your car that much to do all this work! If I was closer I'd help you out.

    GREAT WORK!!!!!

    Lennard,

I have never seen a car get so much love, keep up the good work. I will never complain about access to parts or other trivial matters, after seeing what you have been through.

this is a Labor of Love

    thanx guys
it sure is a hell of a lot of work
this is my first american car but for me it's also a big learning proces and i sure have gained a lot more experience on this project than when i would buy a good one.

this is defenelty not my last american car
but i'm noticing i'm also quitte intrested in mopars also ( only so danm excepsive )
but this is defintely not my last project ( i'm thinking about a sleeper 64 skylark with a 455 with some kind of forced induction as my next project )

but that will take quitte a while i guess

Great Job, I have spoken to a friend of mine who is going to do the sheet metal work on my 1970 Electra in the next 2 weeks. If there where patch panels avaliable for the Buick I would do it my self, but this is one part of the job that I dont have enough experience. Once the sheet metal is done, I will then completed the paint and body work from there.

    hey guys

i've been very busy that day
here are some more pics of some of the work that i've done

Ive welded in the panels for checking them ( the bodylines and fitment of the panels )
also i've welded in the little corner piece that wasn't in yet.

i have to modify the 3rd panel ( closest to the door ) sisnce the curvature in the panel is a bit to low compered to the rest off the lines of the car and the other panels.
Also if you look closely you can see the small fold in the 3rd panel is wat tou sharp compare with the original line of the car in it goes downwards ( way to much )

so these things need te be soleven before the panels can ben welded in for good

by the way the next day is got a bit ill because off the welding fumes

    Lennard,

Remember that a lot of board members are stil using a dail-up connection.
You are using Photobucket to upload your photos, so I reckon it's a good idea to link the thumbnails in your album, and not the full size photos if you want to show more than just one single image.

This thumbnail is just 3839 bytes, click on it an you will get the 800 x 600 (200000+ bytes) photo:
