I found what appears to be a rear end with posi that I may be able to use in my 64 Skylark. Could'nt crawl under the car during lunch hour due to the mud. Would this be a direct fit and a good option for positraction? I believe I wiould need to change out the upper control arms for this application and of course shorten the driveline. Any comments?

EP, Well of course we can make anything fit with a mig welder and torches...lol.

-This 1975 rear might be more work than you want to deal with as the shock munts will be in the front of the axle tube yours are in the back...
-The drive shaft will need to be cut 3/4" because it is a 8.5 10 bolt.
-sping perches will need to be moved out over the front of the axle tube. The - LOWER control arms will have to be spread slightly.
    - The rear will be 2" wider than the 64 easy...
-Upper control arms will definitely have to have a custom arm set-up they are wide...

All in all the rear is a good strong choice...Just do not know if you want to do all that work. Jim
