I read an previous message about a '76 engine with '73 heads. Can I bolt on '70 or '71 heads without changing the pushrods or anything major. I have a 53,000 mile Riv that was well maintained and I just got a dual hump crossmember so I can run dual exhaust. I wanted to bump up the compression to get more power, I might as well change the cam too. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks,...Soren

My advise would be to start with a slightly hotter cam (.030 more inches of lift and 30 degrees of duration at the valve) and tight valve springs. Even if the engine has low compression, the larger cam and tight springs will give the engine another 500-1000 RPM on the top end. Easy power. Kevin
