I am switching to another buick 350 because the original one spun a bearing. Is this common for a 90,000 mile motor? Also once its out and the oil pan is off how can I find the problem?

Any ideas on finding the bottom end problem with the oil pan off??

Start unbolting main caps and looking at the bearings. If those are all good, pull the rod caps and look at the rod bearings. If those are all good, pull the pistons out the bottom. Could be a broken piston or a bad wrist pin.

Thanks that sequence makes sense! I'll check that after I get the other motor in.
