99% of the LUV's that I have seen, had V8 swaps and were at the drag strip.
The other 1% were rusted out beyond repair.

 

Same here. I remember a family member bought one new and just a few years later the rust was taking over.

I had an '80 LUV truck. It finally got retired when the frame literally rusted in half.

 

Yeah, About 10 years ago I worked with a guy who had one. He was on his way to work and crossed some railroad tracks...SNAP.... frame broke in 2 right between the cab and bed. Probably one of the stranger/funnier things Ive ever seen....

 

The guys that use em at the track must have to beef up that junky frame.
