77 skylark...something for the x body guys......but it does sport a chevy heart.....a new 468 supercharged BBC.
Nice car.......except the engine. If i had it, that chebby engine would have to go........I would rather have a buick race engine..........http://www.buicks.net/racing/berry/index.html Now that would cream a chebby anyday if you had that buick motor in it!
Thanks Cody, and yes that buick motor is a nice piece of work.I am a huge fan of buick motors, but the BBC with the huffer was there at the time so we threw it in..seems to work real nice in the car.But saying that the buick can kill any chevy is really a pretty bold statement.
Very sharp set of wheels regardless of it's powerplant. You don't really see alot of the small body Skylarks around here anymore. Nice! :TU: Mike
It's still a very nice car though. Big engines in small cars are a very good combination. Very nice, chevy powered or not. I love the color too.:TU: -Cody
not normally my style, but I like it. I like it a lot... Maybe I should do one like that, paint it brown with the white top like that, put some widened steel wheels with wire hubcaps... and some powerful engine... Whatever I could do cheap, I suppose. Make a nice, cheap, fun sleeper
Nice looking car!!!:bglasses: :TU: :beer The X-body Apollos/Skylarks are a great weigh to go fast....several hundred pounds lighter than our Skylarks!!:Smarty: :TU: A friend of mine has a '75 Nova with a BBC and runs in a 'true' 10.5" tire class. He runs 9.80's all motor.....shooting for 8.40's or so on NOS, to be competitive. BTW...is that the original front bumper or is it off something else? Just wondering about that slight gap by the front fender.
Thanks Scott....and good eye! That bumper is from a nova! I have been looking for the correct one,I even have it posted in "parts wanted"
