hey all, I was just curious, can the vinyl top be removed from my Regal and finished off to make it look like a solid metal roof?

If so, what are the details, and how hard would this be?

    Thanx

Are you talking a vinyle top. If you are it is easier to just replace it. If you do replace it buy the vinyle and 3M adhesive made for vinyle tops.(2cans). It shouldn't cost more than $100. I just did my Monte Carlo (Buick Powered) top after being quoted $550 if the rear and side windows and roof were ready to go. I looked into removing it also and would have needed different back window trim and mud where it needed it and paint the roof. It seemed easier to just replace it. The side rear windows were a little tricky to remove and had to be heated with a heat gun around the edges after some of the rear interior was removed. Then resealed with a urethane windshield adhesive. But other than that it wasn't hard to do at all. Just be sure to leave enough vinyle for the trim you should be all set. Witch ever route you go come back to the board if you have any questions. :)
