Finally dynoed my 487 Buick iron Engine . Too Much BS webt into this build ! All the Cheby boys had doubt & I actually was surprised too ! There is a ton of custom stuff that goes into a engine like this . I do believe its a 7500plus piece . After last week with better air and 1150 dominator we made 801 hp at 6800 rpm . I was having some scavenging issuse with Vacuum & oil pressure. So after we got it dialed in I was pretty happy , but new we were not done . Today after changing oil to synthetic Redline & crappy air we changed jetting in the 1150 left timing at 34 and made a few hits to 7000 it made 811 at 6900 . We then proceeded to program the digital box by laptop to 7800 and pulled to 6000 to check fuel curve . We switched fuel to Q16 and it kept wanting more jet ! After some calculations jets measuring and weighing the fuel we decided to bolt on the BiG 1250 QF ! One pull to 7300 it made 837 HP ! It was getting late so i told Bill Thats good for me . I am sure it would turn higher but why ? In better DA it was 801 6800 Rpm . Here is a break down of what the combination consists of . Congrats!! That's a great build using an iron block....And the stock crank, albeit ground down. I always love to see it and it always makes me smile when I see just how much fuel these Big Block Buicks gulp down!!
