Buddy at work has a Mustang with a stroked 351w, 185 AFR heads, headers etc etc etc. Anybody think I can 60ft him? Anybody been at Milan? Anybody going soon?
I'm assuming 5-speed? Those things were slippers/sliders from the factory...I all but put my buddy's in the ditch the first time I drove it (I somehow saved it), but just like the Pure Stock stuff a good driver could walk 'em out in a hurry on street tires (I never could, but had 2 buddies that were wizards at it)...and seeing as he's been in the engine I'm gonna guess he's addressed the suspension issue and will have some tires as well, so you may be in trouble. Only one way to find out! :Brow:
Yes a 5 speed, drag radials and he thinks suspension is set up. But then again this will only b his 3rd time to the track ever. I'm thinking tree him, 60ft him and c if he can walk it out and then run me down. My guess is it will b a fun day at the track.
Don't race this guy! http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motora...er-reputation-suburban-chicago-142429294.html Peterou:
OOps, thats hilarious. what a dork. Now as for the Mustang, call him lunch. Only way to know is to run to Milan- Im in for next wednesday....
The Buick gets a hole shot win. I got out in front and he spun then missed 3rd gear. His next run I told him walk it out and make sure you get every gear change. Because 13.65 @ 111 has 12's all over it. He went up and did a 12.64 at about the same mph. His last run was back in the 13's. My best was 13.43 so I guess I need to check my combo over. Yvonne best was 12.84 @ 108, worst 12.90 @ 107 We both were happy to have both cars at Milan with friends. Now to get some more ET out of her car so I can do more then wash my car. Is it time to load up for Martin yet
I still have to register, install new sending unit in the rear tank of the tow vehicle, and install a new clutch in the banana. I should call Donny Brass in another week or two. He is a specialist in the last minute "let's throw it together and run".
Ok, so it was the base line run on a hot sunny day. Still have work to do and changes to make cuz you know me I wanna go FAST!!! But Jeremy is right it was great to have both cars, truck and trailer(that's been a long road) all together and at the track. And FYI I do let him do more than just wash his car, he gets to wash mine too! Glad he has his priorities straight cuz you know if momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy!!!
