Is there anything interesting that can be done to the front wheel drive, V6, late 80's Regals? I have a 1988 that is a daily driver, but starting to have more engine and trans issues. I'm not very motivated to put effort into fixing up a car that is so boring. If there was a recipe for changing the drive train and adding a V8...

One advantage of the current set-up (other than low cost) is that the front wheel drive handles well in the snow.

My opinion is that unless you're really committed to it... like if the car is some treasured heirloom, to just swap it for a g-body regal. I picked up my '78 for $1400. ....if youre really willing to spend a bunch of time, i suppose that a v8 can be done in this car.... anythings possible... they put a 350 in a mitsubishi eclipse and made it RWD. You could always turbo the motor you have if its the 3.8.

I guess it really depends on your taste.
