Last weekend,Dustin and I decided to make the long trip to Norristown Pa and then to Long Island NY.We left even though it was threatening freezing rain.We really had no problems,so we made it to Harrisburg, when my Navigator second guessed and then I did the same and we drove by the right exit.We took a small detour but then got back on track. We proceeded to head to Norristown. We made it all the way to pick up the glass cowl hood for the post car.All we ran into was alot of rain. Then we ad to get back on 276/476.We convinced ourselves that we were going the wrong way. Mistake 2.Another slight delay...back on track. We made to the 1st toll, when out in the distance...bridge 1...great! We made the bridge(thanks for the fog )Then to New Jersey. We were going fine to the exit of the Goethals bridge.Damn that thing was big!!!Bridge 2 again thanks for the fog.Continued to the Verrazano bridge. What a giant ungodly site.I broke out in a cold sweat then we proceeded across it,Trouble is we were in the left lane and then we crossed to the right lane.We had to be in the left lane to get off the bridge but missed it.We exited and had to turn around and cross the bridge for the 2nd time.We ended up paying 8 bucks toll and had to return across the lower part of the bridge this time left lane all the way.Cold sweat, swearing time but we made it.Eventually we made to Jason's house and had a great time meeting him and Larry H.We decided to leave at 5 and Larry helped us get to the exit where we had to cross the throgs bridge. We waved to Larry and proceeded to the bridge. My luck..accident on the higher part of the bridge. We came to a slow crawl...Great!!! We made the GW with little problem and was heading out 80 to home but we ran into some of the worst ice covered tree areas on 80.There was so much ice that the trees were being plowed off by plow trucks. We finally got home after a 15 1/ 2 hour day.I would like to personally thank Jason for the motor and the help Larry provided to us.These guys are good people and are truly FRIENDS of ours. Thanks for all you did guys! :TU: :TU:
