I went and looked at this car and I didn’t have to look real hard. The body is shot. There is rot under the front windshield, and the rear glass under the vinyl top. The bottom 10” of the fenders, doors, and 1/4’s have rust repair from the 1980’s and is popping out all over. The passenger fender has rot on the top of the fender. Both inner fenders are rotted at the front, and the radiator support is rotted under the battery. The trunklid has rust holes, and the trunk pan is shot. The frame is very rough and was patched in the 1980’s,so it’s even worse now. Seats are decent but dash has a crack. It is wearing a rough 72 rear bumper. The original engine does run. The hood is the nicest part on the car, but does have some scale underneath.Thete didn’t appear to be any heavy areas that would end up with holes, but it is not smooth metal. The grilles has one stress crack on the lower point. The 1970 front bumper is a decent core that could be rechromed. It is definitely a parts car,but not for $3500.00. All of the savable or usable parts are on the front of the car: hood, grille, bumper, and the air cleaner
I do not know. The radio itself was an AM. No clock or rally pac either. Non-posi rear, gears unknown,no rear sway bar or boxed arms,4-wheel drums,434 VIN
I talked with the owner on the phone. He’s firm at $3500. He won’t consider anything less. Says he was offered $2500 and turned it down. His name is Dean. Seemed like a decent guy and told me everything that was described about the car on this site. I don’t see the value unless you really need the parts that are good.
You are preaching to the choir. He is either going to keep owning it,or someone is going to bury themself in that car for $3500.00
