Hey Buick Guys, I spent the weekend at Norwalk hanging around with the Oldsmobile crowd and doing some racing. The Olds crowd are a great bunch of guys and have a great deal in common with us. We both dare to be different!!!! Anyhow... here is a clip of Dave Laurer's car making a 1/4 mile pass. This car is just under 3200 lbs with driver and I beleive its around 434 CID. He runs an old Olds NASCAR block which is very strong. If we only had a block we could be doing this!!!! http://www.laurerracing.com/temp/Norwalk_2004a.mpg Take a look... its impressive!!! Take Care
427 OLDS!!!!! single stage fogger,p-glide,and 3150lbs race ready.... Travato's Starfire is a 403CI And on top of a strong block both engines have heads far superior to what I'm using on a 500CI..........I better stop,I'll start feeling stupid for trying to make a Buick fastou:
cars Hey Gary. While they are running some impressive numbers, you have to look at the fact that they are 2 to 300 lbs lighter, they arent running an olds passenger car block, and no telling how much nitrous there running.Your car still rocks in my book.TH.
Cool car, thanks for posting the clip. John, did you see his reaction time? I think I could take him.:Brow:
60 ft's are in the mid 1.20's......Car runs hard through the first half then just doesn't have the aerodynamics to make big MPH
