a couple of cool ragtops

    saw these verts in our county fair parade today
    one was a '74 le sabre luxus, the other one was a '68 le sabre 400 (I assume that means th400 trans?)

    Yes, the 400 script pointed out the transmission.

    Two pretty rare cars (it's LeSabre by the way):
    The 1968 LeSabre Custom convertible had a total production of 5257 cars.
    The 1974 LeSabre Luxus convertible had a total production of 3627 cars.

    (All 1968 LeSabre convertibles were Custom models, all 1974 LeSabre convertible were Luxus models)

    I knew that the "400" stood for the trans,

    a friend I was with kept saying it meant 400 engine, now I can set him straight!

    This is what she looked like a few years ago, sorry its the newest picture I have. This picture was taken at one of our club functions before the previous owner hit a deer with it, caving in the drivers fender, the hood and bumper and finally caving in the quarter and having the deers antler go through the marker light hole and tear the metal back to the rear bumper
