    1) Would a 3rd quarter of 69 build be considered an early build and if so, should the car have a clear top rad overflow container?

    2) What is the correct two-letter code sticker that goes on the driver's valve cover for a 70, non-stage 455?

    Cheers

Post the cowl firewall body tag stamped build date.

Generally speaking ,all assembly plants transitioned from pointy dash lens to flat ,clear over flow reservoirs to black and plastic rad top plates to steel from early December 69 into mid January 1970 depending on assembly plant.

    HI Rich

I don't have access to the cowl tag.

I am asking because I saw what looks like a real nice resto of a 70 455, but a couple of things caught my eye and so I was wondering.

The valve cover tag reads PD and the car has a ton of engine detail tags. I thought the Buick only had a few tags such as valve cover, brake booster line, throttle cable and steering box. This car looks like it has one of the In-line Tubing sets, which from my understanding are incorrect for the Buicks.

It also showed 3Q69 plug wires, with a black top resevoir. So this is why I was asking as I am a curious sort of fellow.

    Cheers

I am guessing Inlines kit is wrong. The engine tag needs to be broken down even further. You need to know if it has Ac and what trans it has.
