Here's how my Monday went in pics. First pic. Doesn't look all that bad, now, does it? Just a small bruise.
Maybe... I should go see the doc. It gets bigger and bigger everyday. It is a rather remarkable shade of purple though, don't you think? :Brow:
Major bruise like his is usually cause by blunt force trauma which ruptures the capillaries causing minor internal bleeding. After 4-5 days the body will reabsorb the blood and the bluish color will disappear.
Greg? U git in a fistfight with a mule??? WTF did ya do to make it look like that? Gnarly...fish
This happened at work Monday. My shirt sleeve got caught in a machine and in the process of freeing myself, the pressure on the arm from the shirt sleeve caused the bruising. Three good things came out of this. 1. I did not lose my arm, although another 2-3 inches and major damage would have been done. 2. We found out that someone had bypassed the safeties on the machine. They have been fixed and this will not happen to anyone else. 3. The idiot that bypassed the safeties is now on the unemployment line. Good luck to him in this day and age. Took me over a year to find this job with 20 years experience. This boy ain't even got 2 years. His buddy hired him there and now he's gone. Every mechanic there is doing the Snoopy dance!!!
Having friends that have worked in Mills (paper mills)... I know what can happen if a piece of clothing gets caught... Bad news... glad you're away with just (ok, maybe not just, but better than the alternative) a bruise.
I hate to quote folks, but in this case, I get to quote my Dad.......... "Rub some dirt on it, and get back to work !" That remedy will fix damn neart' anything. I remember(very vividly) blowing my knee in football my Junior year in the middle of a game(I was a center). He walked onto the field and told me to get up and walk off. If I was still hurt then(on the sideline), we would check it out. Needless to say, I walked off, fell down, took a ride, and spent the next 8 weeks in a elevated hip to toe leg cast. Anyways...............On the "good" side..........it ain't your shifting arm.
Yeah. Now talk Eric into painting his car that color when he gets the engine etc. in it! :TU: BTW, how come I gotta find out about this kinda stuff here. You only e-mail me when ya need something, like help putting in a stereo on the "Heep". Now I know why you need help. Ya might hurt yourself doing it!!! p
Keep talkin' Bobo. At leasts I didn't need stitches in my eye from a drop light!! :moonu: :moonu: :moonu:
Didn't miss a minute of work!! Oh yeah, 'shifting arm'? Is that what the kids are calling it these days? :Brow:
GEEEZZUUS, Raul: Everybody just loves you, don't they! :moonu: Good color for a car :3gears: Hope your "shifting" arm doesn't get too much of a workout while that heals. :Brow: Glad to see the dumbs#@t got what was coming to him before you did! (or anybody else) I hate STUPID people! :eek2: Jim
