That link to the Minneapolis Star & Tribune (old name) brought back memories too. Had a paper route (what we called them) with them in the 50s. Made $2 a week. Mostly bad memories, mean dogs, non paying customers, cold mornings. I guess it was good for me? But thank goodness for cassettes, CDs, etc. We can still listen to those golden oldies.
Gene Pitney was a great singer with a unique style. We're losing many of the 50-60's greats in the music industry (when music didn't sound all the same).
Not to change the subject but I like your avatar. I used to try to get into every home game that Fidrych was to start (which turned out to be not many after 1976). He's was a genuine one of a kind, back when baseball used to be fun to watch.
