Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I use synthetic brake fluid. It won't hold moisture.

Sorry about that guys--I didn't give enough information there. In the past when I have had to store a car for a long time, I got all the brake fluid out of the system with compressed air and brake cleaner, then disassembled the master and wheel cylinder and put oil inside of them to keep the bores from rusting up and pitting from the moisture absorbed by DOT 3 brake fluid. Under no circumstances should a car be driven with oil in the brake system! Letting a car sit for 3-4 years with DOT 3 brake fluid in the system without it being driven so the fluid can get hot and get the moisture out of it will destroy the bores in the wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Correct front wheel cylinders for a 65 GS are all but impossible to find now (they are bigger than what is on a regular skylark).
When the car is taken out of storge, clean all the oil out of the wheel cylinders and master cylinder with brake cleaner and put brake fluid in the system/bleed the system before attempting to drive it. It is alot of work, but saves you from having to hunt down and replace hard to find brake system parts when the car is put back on the road.
