I started with a body, and turned it into this. Now I don't have something everyone else does at weekend shows and meets, but I think I can manage. I started with a 1964 Skylark 2years ago. Stripped it with sandblaster, took inventory, found what i needed, pulled all nighters reading this forum. Pulled the engine and trans for my first project(65 wildcat...I cant see it with anything but a 455)cleaned everything, painted it and put back together the way I think it should look. I put disk brakes and drop spindles, 17in. wheels (yes it rubs, but looks great doing it) and seats from a 97 camaro (hey, they were free), the steering wheel and console with floor shifter from the wildcat. The car is all buick parts 64/65. Now it is time to see how well i put it together. All of your knowledge and my busted knuckles makes for a beautiful american classic. Thank you.
Building an ols Buick is a group efforrt even if "you" are the one doing the work. I have just compleeted my project and I also have to put a shout out to ALL V8Buick members for their knowledge and help finding parts. We build Buick , not Cheveeles and parts are MUCH harder to find because what they built back in the day is too many times all there is. You car looks great.
