No real aftermarket for engine dress up at all for buicks. Only real option is to find a shop near you and have them do a custom job for you. They might not want to do just a couple things, but if you give a boat load of stuff they may be interested.o No:
No, mostly the "standard" stuff...rocker covers, air cleaner alternator, water pump and a couple of brackets, etc,. It's a '53 nailhead.
Heres a set of chrome sbb valve covers I customized. The assembled motor has a K&N filter with chrome cover. I didnt have it on for the side shot picture, but I put a OEM, 350-4 HI COMP sticker on the chrome breather and it looks ver sharp. You can see it in the final picture of the engine bay (sorry for the low quality- camera phone.) Not a huge dress up, but I like it alot/
Just a thought- I picked up a can of "spray chrome" the other day, haven't tried it out yet but maybe it'd be passable for a driver? I've seen miracles worked by a used car guy using a piece of cardboard and spraycans to make a tired engine compartment look pretty danged acceptable... 'till the first round of engine brite anyways:laugh: . What about prepping your parts and then Oaklahoma Chrome 'em or check out some of the new candy engine paints from House of Kolor. I've seen some SHARP looking engines that were done this way, and use what chrome or polished stuff you CAN find to accentuate it. Go to the Car Craft website and poke around, I think you'll at least get some ideas! Robert
Hell your not even gonna find under drive pulleys for that (or any other buick) engine, let alone chrome plated parts. Call around the local bike shops and ask them if they'd plate your parts for ya. :TU:
