This all started because Dave Shaker was breaking my you know whats about my booster and master in my 71. Truth be told, the power booster and master cylinder is a little lacking in the looks department. So I figured that I would address that issue when I got home. So I stopped by a local restoration parts place in my area to price out what he gets for the cad plated power boosters. He caters to the Chevelle crowd I asked him for prices for the plain one and the one that has the Delco Moraine stamp on it. He tells me that the unstamped one is 115.00. Not bad considering that they go for 94.95 on Ebay plus shipping. So he's pretty much on the money with that. Well, I said, how much is the stamped one? He says- same price. What? Really? The stamped ones are going for over 200 or so on Ebay. Although I didnt tell him that :Brow: . I think Mark Reeves gets around 195.00 for his. I asked him if he was sure about that price. He went in the back and double checked. I thought for sure he was going to say he made a mistake and it was 225.00. He come back and said yes, he was sure it was 115.00 with the stamp. Well in that case, I told him, - SOLD!!! What a deal!! :beer Now for the master cylinder. Im pretty sure the 71 disc master is the square type with the bleeders. To the best of my knowledge, nobody repros these. Years ago I tossed the original master ou: . I have a Raybestos in there with no bleeder screws. The original ones are a little hard to find. Ebay has none. Just for a laugh, I deceided to check out what Auto Zone had on the shelf for master cylinders. Guy behind the counter says he's got one in stock. Im shocked. What are the chances he's going to have part for a 35 year old car in stock. He comes back with the box. I pull out the master and its an original core with the bleeders stamped with the original two digit code. JACKPOT!!. All for the low low price of 17.99!! Go figure!! So for 132.99 I got a stamped cad plated booster and an original master. Make you wonder if there are any 1112016 distributors sitting on an auto parts store shelf somewhere.
Way to go, Jason. You are the luckiest Buick guy I know. Are you taking your car to the track this weekend? If so, be sure to stall it up a little when you launch & let us know how it runs! :3gears:
Seriously, I'll pay you to drive up here and help me find some parts I need for my car. Its only a few hours  Congrats on the score, I paid more than twice that to get a less correct set up (bendix MC).
