Whatcha think? I'm curious if this would be feasible since the frame is an X style frame. I'm wondering if i'd have problem with the body flexing :Do No:

I think it was an ebay auction. Car was in primer. May be something on it in the ebay section.

I found it......'64 Riv, here is the thread . Has a link to the auction.

I don't think the seller had a clue about the car.

Would be cool if done right. :bglasses:

Somebody in the ROA has already done one Jarrod - I'll try and find some pix.
Looked really sharp, and was done right, maybe some other ROA'er can fill in the details. As I recall, he even made a matching trailer out of the rear section of another Riv parts car! :TU:

Here are two more. One is apparently a concept car but has some good pics. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom. Look at the nice transition from the trunk lid to the seats.

I remember that car. Looks awesome. I'm still wondering if he added anything to the underside to stiffen it up.

I'm not cutting the top off of mine but I'm going to be adding bracing between the legs of the X under the door sills and then cross bracing under the floor pans for new frame mounts for the later model seats I'm likely to install. I'm also thinking of adding some underhood stuff between the inner fenders and the firewall and maybe to the grill. The shock towers are so low on these cars it wouldn't do much good trying to fit something from them to the firewall around the engine. See if you can find a picture somewhere out there of an X-frame NASCAR chassis, minus the cage I'm sure its probably a great place to start for chassis stiffening.
