    A new project 71 GS Stage 1

Here are some pics of the 71 GS Stage 1 that I brought home last night. My brother, buddy, and I were out car hunting and through some twist of fate we came across this car. It was setting in a guys back yard :eek2: and he decided to sell it. Black interior, auto, tilt, pb,ps, cruise, rear defrost. Needless to say we were jumping for joy. :beer More pictures to follow in future.

It does not have the original engine. The guy said that it was blown in 85 or 86 and he didn't think about keeping it so it went to scrap. Original tranny is still in the car. My friends and I like to take weekend trips riding around randomly looking for cars. As we were riding around a very small town (less than 50 people), my brother spotted the car behind a small shed in the backyard of a residence. At first we thought it was a skylark then we saw the hood, then the GS emblem, and then I almost fell over when I saw the stage 1 emblem. We knocked on the door and nobody came. I then spoke to a neighbor who said that the guy might sell it. We then walked over to it and looked it over, and as we were doing so the guy woke up and came out. I told him that we were buick nuts and we all told him about our cars. I then asked the important question "Will you sell it?". He then said that he would. We then made the deal and we had to leave her because I had not brought the trailer along. I had to wait 3 long weeks to get it which was hard to do.
