Hi everyone.... Complete newbie here guys Just bought my first classic and it had to be a Buick.... It's a 1955 Buick special and I love it so I'll be looking out for parts and stuff for it...not that it needs too much. What a car.........
What Iwould like to find out is where can I get a manual for my car.......1955 Buick Special four door Sedan....the problem I seem to be facing is there are a lot of great web sites out there for Buick but I can't seem to find any that deliver overseas...that's my problem, I'm in Scotland... Any help would be gratefully apreciated folks Steve....
Can I help? Steve, I too am new to this and I have a 1955 Buick Super. I have a 55 Shop manual that I still need, but I would be glad to copy pages that could help and mail those to you. Hope I can help, James
Hi james m8 Thanks for the offer that's great...I found this site on the web offering the manual on CD as well as a few others http://www.gearheadcafe.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?product=buick&cart_id=8274574.4196*1j5WP6 check it out and tell me what you think?
An alternative to the CD version is the book version, may be cheaper, contact Dan at Factory Automanuals He ships overseas all the time!
You may find some other good sources for books here:: http://www.buickpartsdirectory.com/literature.htm
Baz, Where abouts in Scotland are you? If you get stuck for international shipping, just ship the item to me, and I will forward it to you or bring it over with me in the spring. Cheers Phil
Nailhead i'm up in Fife, Scotland here and if I get any problems with delivery I'll let you know m8, and I'll be looking into those links for possible books.cheers guys..... <---------------- I've added a little pic of my car! :Brow:
tried eBay yet? Steve, Did you try eBay yet (enter 1955 buick as search string). I got my original shop manual through eBay and they pass regularly for reasonable prices, depending on the condition. I've got a copy in the garage (dirty hands good luck, Peter.
Funny you should say that because that's exactly where I've just bought a manual for my car - e-bay:grin: Thanks for the help guys
Well just got my windscreen replaced today, the old one was looking very milky at the edges and there was a crack in it as well and i've gotta say....lookin' good! Could do with replacing the passenger side window but...well one thine at a time
