If someone wants a REAL prototype engine, this is your chance! I looked at them with Denny Manner, and he confirmed that they are what Mike says
If someone wants to build a VERY RARE car, this would be the engine that it should have.
They really belong in a museum, but Sloan Museum is getting away from anything automotive , so Mike is selling them. I would like to see a museum purchase them. :Smarty: :Smarty: :TU:

It would be interesting having that under your hood, the attention it might get from curious minds. But I doubt many would even notice unless they were Buick guys. :eek2:

I wonder if replacement main bearings are available that would fit that, they are 3".

That seems like a bargain! 19 hrs to go.
How does one end up with not just one, but 2 X engines?

Would it be cool to own, heck yes, practical, no.

Ted or Topcat need this one for their museums, they like the 65s. My Wildcats are 63 and 64

I was at the Buick Nationals this past summer in Seattle and this gentelman said he owned a Buick dealership, and bought his sons a yellow and white GSX's and said he had the "dual compound" 455 in his Riviera and said he got the engine from his brother in law who worked for Buick in Flint...He recalled spanking the GSX's when they raced...Claimed 500HP dual carbs and that only a few where made...Bet we could find him thru the BCA if somebody needed info on this motor....I quite often thought about this motor since the coversation and to see one now is awesome...Its real.

Wait a minute, there, old timer - Sloan is getting out of everything automotive?

Is this a continuation of the changing of the guard when they let Jim Johnson go?

    :Do No:
