 Hello, I don't know if anyone can really answer this but I will ask anyway. On my last run this last sunday just before the finish line the car shook so bad I could hardly steer it. After the races were over I drove it down the return road real slow and it felt like one of the back tires was way out of round, it has felt like this before when I first unload it when tires are cold and I drive down the track slow to warm every thing up but as soon as tires warm up a little it goes away, but this time it bounced up and down bad with warm tires. I just unloaded the car and put the rear up on stands and ran it. The drive shaft is perfectly straight, the wheels are straight, but the tire on the pass side rear is out of round a good 1/2" at least, if it was a normal tire it would be a no brainer that the tire is messed up, but with slicks I don't know if it is normal for them to be out of round some with no weight on them. The other one is real close to round with no weight on it and I put it in gear and wound it up to about 80 mph and it had a real slight vibration but nothing like it had at the races. I haven't done it yet but I want to lift the front and check the front tires real close also for out of round. it came on real fast as I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary the run before. I am just wondering if anyone else has been through this kind of thing before. Tom

About a year or so ago I had somewhat the same thing happen to me driving in town. I pulled into a Goodyear tire store that I was about to pass and had them check it out. One of the steel belts broke inside the rubber and balled up and made for a very violent shake while driving. Bought 2 new tires for the back and was on my way in about an hour. Just finished up driving from Arizona to Oregon towing my hotrod on a trailer earlier that day. Thank goodness it didn't go then. Don't know if this helps, but here's hoping that yours is a minor problem. Jim

I have a set of hardly used Goodyear slicks I can put on to see if the problem goes away. The Mickey Thompsons are only about a year and a half old and the car sat home alot this year so they don't have many runs on them so I won't be a happy camper if one of them is junk already, but it sure is looking that way. Tom
