I bought this little steel-bodied Monza for twenty five cents at a flea market last year. Its a Tonka Clutch Popper. This thing has got some power! You rev it up and set it down, then hit the button to engage the drive. It spools up like a freakin' turbo GN! It'll do a burnout if you add liquid, otherwise it starts off the line normal like, then comes the power. No kidding, it'll start bicycling a quarter way into the run and sometimes roll from the torque. I thought my kids could play with it, but It'll hurt them if it hits at speed. So if any of youns are seriuosly bored one day and you find one of these, pick it up. If anyone has one they'd like to get rid of, LMK. I'd like to put the guts in a Die-cast toy GN.

I needed to talk about something different. I had a REALLY CRUMMY real car day. My simple rear-end swap is becoming a PIA. I went to balance and weld the driveshaft after shortening it, only to discover after bolting it in the the front universal is bad. Then all four bolts on the rusty sway bar attachments broke. The ratchet slipped off the end cap bolt and dented the center of my forehead quite nicely. I finally quit before something got smashed. So I decided to talk toy car!
