Eric my sympathies to you and your family. I do cherish my mother everybody should cherish and love their parents. Unless they have problems with their parents and that I can understand.

    eric:
my sympathies to u & your family. i too, know your pain. my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1952 and became hospitalized in 1970. over time she lost all of her motor functions and became completely bedridden 5 years ago. she suffered tremendously. this past april she contracted pneumonia and at her wish she refused all medications. she realized that this was the time to leave this painridden world. we, her family, whole-heartedly supported her decision and she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Very sorry for your loss. She is not in a wheel chair anymore. Rather, jogging in her new body with a big smile on her face.

    What can I say?

Stay strong. Finish your car, for yourself, and her.

She's watching and waiting for you somewhere. :)

    Touched our hearts

You have touched some of us very deeply with the poignant tribute to your mother.

No matter what paths your Buick takes you down, I just have to know you will always have a companion of the sweetest kind right beside you, cheering you on.

    Hoping your days grow brighter...

    Eric,

Sorry to hear the news. When you drove down to meet me in NY was very nice. I know you have a lot of pride in your Buick and I am sure you made your mother proud and will continue to do so.

Best of luck in the future with your car, and if there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Thanks Mike, Todd and Patty for your condolences and thoughts.

Mike: It was good to meet you when you lived up here, I hope to have that chance again.

Todd: I'll be in touch once things settle to take that stuff off your hands if its still available. As I said, I am more serious now than I have ever been about getting this running this summer. It runs now, but still detonates, so I think its time for some serious digging.

To Everyone else: I greatly appreciate all that you have said, as does my family (I printed this and showed it to them to show the support we have, they all were VERY appreciative and touched by the outpouring.)

The Wake is Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9, and the funeral is Monday at 11am. We decided to have her cremated (thats what her wishes were) and placed in the columbarium in the church that her father (my grandfather, an Episcopal priest) rebuilt after a devastating fire during the 70's. We thought it only appropriate.

Again, thanks all for recognizing her. I wish that you all would've had the chance to get to know her.
