A Very Unusual GS350?

    In '70, the air cleaner decal should be "GS 350" and for '71-2 should be "350-4." Same for 455 cars.

    So, I have the mirror code now. The passenger side is 12-DMI-9 and is very clear. Month is December but is the 9 for 1969 or 1979?

    Driver side was hard to read but he thinks 2-LMFF-1. So, maybe February 1971? Or maybe 1981?

    With such different numbers doubtful they were factory installed together.

    It wouldn’t surprise me if late 70s might come out with the ‘71 air cleaner decal.

    I've never seen a Buick sport mirror glass have any other code than "DMI"

    Everyone thinks their car is “all original”, but they fail to realize that at least a handful of other owners have personalized it over the last 50 years.

    My 71 GS also has the 350-4 air cleaner emblem. One owner from 71 to 2021.

    Maybe his car was built close to the start of 71 production or the air cleaner was replaced at some point?

    Agree on the 350 cars (my 72 vert said 350-4 on the air cleaner) but 3 original GS 455 cars (two 71 and one 72) the air cleaners had GS455 on them.....
