Just a quick note to all you Pure Stockers heading for a great weekend of racing. Hope you guys do well. Was planning on attending and seeing all these cars in action for all 3 rounds (a first for me as I was usually in the pits wrenchin' away or standing around at the starting line just tire spinnin'). Not sure if it's in the cards for me to attend at all this year. Think the man upstairs has smiled down at us this week as my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and surgery was performed yesterday. Appears at first blush the surgeon got it all. But, it's not conclusive until the pathology report. My wife has truly dodged a bullet here and may come home tomorrow. Then the healing begins. Appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Kinda' puts things like this hobby in perspective, big time. On a lighter note, here's a short video of a Pure Stock race (think it was 3 years ago...when I was closer to "stock" . I refer to this race as "Grandpa's the Best"! That's my grandaughter Jenna commenting and my son John who thought I had lost (was damn close...caught Donny asleep at the switch). Well, sorry for the no video here. Don't have enough posts to post a link to that video.:error: Enjoy your time anyway and again, good luck...have fun! Jim ps: Hey LS6Racer, with the cool air this week, ya' lookin' for maybe a 13.2 ish??
Jim, My Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family, and I hope that your wife has a speedy recovery. Rich C.
Jim, your wife will be in my families prayers as well......... you will be missed this weekend. Oh, and Jim, Paul already ran 13.24 ...... I am looking for him to get into the teens..........
Jim, here is your video <embed width="440" height="380" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://v1.tinypic.com/player.swf?file=6g4d9nr&s=1"></embed>
The worst is over, Jim, our best wishes for you. At least we'll be able to tell which one is Donny this year, but was ultra cool seeing them run against each other.
Jim, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery for your wife. I will not be there this year either, as my wife & I are in San Diego today, to witness our oldest son's graduation from boot camp. Your family always comes first. Everyone have a safe trip and fun racing this weekend Steve :3gears:
That's good news , Jim. Thanks for the well wishes and the same to you and yours. I'll be around all day, stop by if you're out and about. Paul
