Dammit! I had the Challenger out last week and scraped the paint off the bottom edge of the pinch weld on the right side. I just dropped it off at my friends body shop today. Great guy and more meticulous than I am. And thats saying something. I told him to just fix it and call me when its done. This guy is Mr confidence. He said to not even worry about it. He said he was going to order the new plastic rocker trim Monday morning that has a small scrape on it and as he said, make it "perfect"again. So pissed at myself. Oh well, its only new once....
Geez' Jason, it's a "Challenge-r". right? Kudos for having the nuts to mention it! There goes the Carfax.
Its going to be a cash deal so the Carfax is still "clean". I was born at night, but it wasnt last night!
As the song goes, the first cut is the deepest. Pisses you off I know, but it probably won’t be the last nick on it. Good thing you have connections to make it right.
Yeah, the song...that's the first thing I thought of. Imagine the amount of damage you would have had if the car was not ceramic coated? Probably would have wiped the whole side out.
Funny this should be brought to the top.....Dropped it off at my friend's shop last Saturday. Just checked on the car today. it was up on a lift with the pinch weld dressed. He's going to, in his words, "sympathetically" blow some purple on it taking care to mimic exactly what the factory did on the other side. New plastic rocker trim is sitting next to the car. I should have it back no later than this Saturday. The guy really does phenomenal work. He's got thick cardboard and leather pads on the lift arm pads to protect the frame from getting marred.
Condolences Jason , on Long Island theses battle scars are the norm when you have something nice on the road
