    Good morning yall,

I posted a few pics below in hopes of explaining my question... I believe my car had AC on it in the past but has since been removed. However, the bracket is still in place, and mounted on the same hardware as the alternator.. I would like to remove the AC bracket. Would anyone help me out by explaining how to remove the bracket, but keep the alternator mounted in place so as not to interfere with the current belt geometry?

Unless you cut the part off you don't like, you can't. What you need is the stand alone Non A/C bracket. TA Performance makes a reproduction of that bracket.

Don’t cut that bracket off, it’s very valuable to those that need it in one piece!

Thanks for the info and the link Larry! I’ll be ordering one of those brackets.

And don’t worry john, I won’t be cutting or destroying anything from the car unless absolutely necessary. I put all of my old parts back into circulation via “parts for sale” on this site. Lol

    thanks again gents.
