Well... I was searching high and low for an answer and so far I have recieved two parts of information..
A gentlemen from down south tells me that the Rochester 7041544 that is sitting in front of me is also a 500 ci caddy carb from 1972 or 1974. :Dou:
Now I run across your guys site and I see the part number all over for this thing and it is described by all of you as a 350 buick carb.. but the dilemma that i really care about.... what the heck is the cfm rating??
The caddy book told us 830 cfm he had. All I can get from the information I have read in here is that its a 750, but there is also a buick guy on another site stating that the "704" suffix carbs also came on the 455's, which could be either a 750 or "possibly" a 800.
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! help me ease my pain... its going onto a 511ci mopar motor. I need an answer to sooth the woes... otherwise its for sale and shoot me a price. LOL
THEN I'll go with the megasquirt F.I. system.

jThank you for the help guys... I was browsing and seen alot of realy nice cars on here.. kudos to you all.

    Mike,
7041544 is most definitely a 1971 Buick 350 carburetor. It is a 750 CFM. All 350 carbs were 750 CFM, simple as that. All 455 Buick carbs were 800 CFM from 1971-74. 704 prefix means the carb was made between 1970-75, that's all. I would not put that carb on a big block. Don't know what this gentleman from down south is talking about, I think he must be mistaken.

Yeah.. when we started discussing it... I was thinking "crack head" myself.. LOL.
Thank you for the information.. looks like i am going the fuel injection route.
    thank you again.
    CARB FOR SALE!
    #7041544! any reasonable offers.
Dont know where it came from in the shop.. just tapped out the throttle shafts to 6/32" to reattach the plates that the person/persons whom must of had it stripped out. Carb is reasonablyclean but still needs a good bath.

A Q-jet on a Mopar would have looked pretty funny, anyway.....
