Add booster to drum setup

I'm thinking of adding a booster to my existing manual drum setup. Next summer, I may go to disk brakes, but will want to redo/rebuild front suspension at the same time.

So, for now, I'm thinking of just getting a booster and new lines from the proportioning valve to the master. Keep the current master cylinder.

    Will that work?

I've read that the power drum MC has bigger bore than the manual MC and needs to be matched with different wheel cylinders. I was hoping to avoid that by staying with the manual MC.

    Car is a 67 Skylark.

i added a booster to my drum setup on a 68, ran for 3 years before selling it and never had an issue.

Did you use the manual master cylinder or did you change to Power MC?
