    Hi,

Can anyone help get my tranny to go some rpm higher before shifting, I now have a 3.23 rear :3gears: which used to be a 2.93
Now it wont go to about 60-70mph before shifting to 3rd gear in kickdown but already at 45... I assume this is due to the changing in gear ratio as the vaccuum controls the shifting point. Do I need to adjust the vaccuum modulator screw? Clockwise or counterclockwise? Thanks already for any help guys!!

    cheers,

    Menno,
The vacuum modulator will not help you. The adjustment is just for minumum and part throttle shift points. And it can only vary them 2-5 MPH. First is your electric kickdown hooked up and functional. If not, the trans will short shift. If it is hooked up, you must modify the governor. By using lighter weights, and springs, you can up the RPM(and MPH), that the transmission shifts at at wide open throttle. Get this kit to make it easier.
