Pulled A/C original system out, "wasn't working at all", now ready to go aftermarket, seen all the names and all the hype, now want to know from the real car guys, who has what brand, the best for installation and etc ??
Re: Aftermarket Air conditioning systems, who has what, where from and how difficult Hi Big B From what I can tell you Vintage Air is the best system I've seen. What kind of car do you have? They do not make a direct bolt on for the Buicks. You have to use the set up for a Chevelle. I have a 72 Skylark that was an original air car. That helps since the dash already has the vents. Do you have a 350 or 455. My friends at JH Restoration designed a custom bracket for the 455. We are in the process of getting a 350 head to mock up a bracket. I'm sure they could hook you up with a complete set up. Theya are a master distributor for Vintage Air. If you need any more info let me know and I'm sure we can help you out. Thanks Leo
Re: Aftermarket Air conditioning systems, who has what, where from and how difficult Mine is also a pre A/C car, haveing all vents. 68 skylark, currently housing a 455.
Re: Aftermarket Air conditioning systems, who has what, where from and how difficult Perhaps Brad Conley has more info; he added an AC system to his 72 EW: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?251136-Brad-has-a-new-toy/page4
