Maybe I'm just not good with the search feature here, but I cannot find any complete aftermarket clusters for my '70 skylark. I would hate to destroy one of the two factory pieces I have, but I want autometer gauges where the factory pieces currently reside. I've seen many other clusters for other vehicles pre-made, but I guess this is another situation where the buicks get no love. Anyone done something similar and have pics?

Here is a empty cluster that you can cut and mount anything you wish in and save the original

I will try to post a pic tonight showing what I did to my Skylark dash as I think it is what you are looking to do.

Using a cardboard template I then had a 1/8 inch thick sheet of aluminum cut out to fit the back of the dash. I simply used the built in bolts and speed nuts that attached the original instruments. No wires were cut as I used the original wires for the indicator lights. I did run new wiring to the sending units for the oil pres and temp. Fuel sender used the stock wiring. Turn signal indicators, high beam and brake light are 5/16 lights from Painless Performance. Aluminum sheet was painted RustoLeum Satin Black from a can. Hope this gives you some more ideas. Have fun.
