It is difficult to find wheel combos by searching individually. I would like to get a thread started where we just post pics of aftermarket wheels into one mega thread. Thanks. Just looking for some ideas on some new wheels, but it is always better to see them on the car first. There are so few posts in the 70-72 owner sticky thread that there is rarely anything new. Post company name and specs also! Maybe even get this stickied.
Weld Draglites 15x3 front,15x8 rear. Sorry for the multi colored paint as it has a fiberglass front end and rear spoiler which some people actually dislike..
Thanks Pat!!! They are brushed alum...biggest size in this style was 17x9 rear, and 17x8 front. I might...might..go with the same wheel but in polished alum...they come 17x10...I guess when I get bored of these, LOL ---------- Post added at 06:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:47 PM ---------- No lip mods. rear tires are 285/40/17 Nitto 555 Extreme's.
My blue Skylark has 15x10 Weld Prostars with 5.5" backspacing,28x12.50 ET Streets and fronts are 15x5. The GS 455 Conv. has 17x8 and 17x7 Coys wheels.
HALIBRANDS 15X8 all around. 245/60 fronts, 295/50 rears. ---------- Post added at 02:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:14 PM ---------- Same car with CONVO wheels. Bad offsets though.
Raceline wheels http://www.racelinewheels.com/p-187-239-gt-2-piece.aspx 18x8 23540zr18 front 20x10 27540zr20 back
The top car is 4.5 the bottom is 3.375. With 275 and 295 tires they rubbed with those CONVO wheels. with about a 1" or so lift (air shocks then but now have spacers under the springs) in the rear they were fine. I would go with the better offset and have not ruled out another set of those CONVO wheels. I am just thinking my HALIBRANDS do not look good with this color car??
I need to get pictures of the car with the drag racing tires on it but here are the street tires. The drag wheels are the same rims with 28x12.5-15 drag radials 15x10 wheels from Summit racing with 5.5" backspace, and 30x11-15 tire (285/70R15): Sitting a few inches high in the front without the engine but you get the idea:
Hey thanks I already will like the old school jacked up muscle car look. X2 on the hairbands...the combos fit right
