heres the problem 350 built trans.no brake but 5000stall in a low 11 car.. the trans was freshed up at the start of the year ...the rebuilder said it was ok except 3rd gear was going/////we put 20 passes on it .......we then pulled it again had him check it same thing 3rd gear was showing signs of heat/warped steels///he said maybe itis getting airated....so we started checking the oil after each pass.....and we are seeing signs ///small bubbles on the dipstick/////SO ONE does it happen to anyone else...and TWO what can we do......we do have a deep pan on it//with the correct pickup thanks in advance for the input pete

Just guessing here, maybe a case porosity issue? Are there leaks anywhere? when the trans was freshened, was the valvebody taken down? Maybe a problem with the seperator plate and/or gasket. Other than high fluid level, what else causes fluid aeration? Are you sure the dipstick you are using is correct? Just asking questions in an attempt to help.

your forward clutches are the ones that are gonna be smoked (no good, burnt...) if you have a lack of fluid circulating. just something to take note of if/when you get it apart.
