Hey i've been told to go with air, and i've been told not to. what should i do? 455 .060. 11-1 dome, small chamber heads.... will be with a turbo 400, but i'm gonna use the 350 for now. will eventually put a ford 9" in, but i don't know if i should buy air shocks to lift it up a bit for more tire, or just go with regular shocks, and put as much tire as i can in the wells....? any help? i can get the air shocks for almost the same as a set of decent regular shocks.... just dont know what to do... any help?

Go with better springs. Easy to change! Air shocks suck on small and intermediate size cars. You can get away with them on a big ole tank, but your Regal will reject them.

Get GOOD Springs, & Air BAGS NOT Shocks for traction.

thanks for the input. Can't affoard air bags at this time, don't think i'd get them anyway, mostly cuz i don't want to deal with a compressor and stuff....

I was told that the regal would ride like a bag of &&it with the air shocks. but then a guy i work with said that he has'm in his monte ss, with almost an identical driveline (BBB, 400 trans, ford 9") and he likes them....
gues i'll go with regular shocks for now, maybe pick up the air shocks after (cheap enough) and see if they do suck.

already ordered a set of moog springs big block springs for the front, and just new ones for the rear.

I think you may have him confused tha air bags they are refering to are around 60 bucks. They fit inside of the springs. Not to be confused with a air ride system that uses air bags in stead of springs. What tires are you trying to fit under tha car you may be able to trim the inner wheel well to solve your clearance problem
