about a week ago i removed my door on my 72 lark, i went to go put it back in, and it was nothing but a pain. after about i hour we only got it to barley close, is there any tips on how to align it better, it the first time i have ever done this, it was perfect when i took it off and now it dosnt fit :error: :error:

should i just give up and bring it to a body shop?? or does any one have any advice for me?

You should have marked the hinges before taking off the door. If your doors are clean, you should be able to see the outline where the door hinge was on the cowl or door. I don't know where you took it off, cowl or door. You can align the door but check your hinges for wear. If you have originals, I would suggest going to Autozone to get some hinge repair kits. Once you have good, tight hinges, you can align the doors. Use some blue masking tap on the gaps to prevent paint chips, use 2-3 layers. Take your time and you will get it done since you only have 2 hinges to focus on.

i took the door off with the hinges left on the cowl, should i do this on the other door, or should i keep the hinges on the door???

Ok, all you have to do is reinstall the door and line up the hinge outline on the door (should be easily visible) then snug tite the hinge screws. Slowly, slowly close the door as you check all gaps for consistent gap width. Should not take more than 10-15 mins per door.
