Al, this is not a close up shot but it's the only one I had from a Dash install last summer...….. This is TPP Dash Bezel as well as there Decal set . . . . . For what it's worth we've had good luck with these as well as the Decal Set. (I wouldn't stock them if the results were less than satisfactory)
I felt that same lack of comfort the first time I started installing the studs. I felt that the holes were a tad to tight for the studs. I placed each stud in some white lithium grease prior to installation and everything was fine. I still felt uneasy but just went slow and made sure each stud had plenty of lube (grease) I think this method or if a guy has a good enough drill bit assortment to go one size bigger that to is an option. OVERALL . . . . I really like the Replacement Dashes for most of the Restoration work we do. They're not 100% perfect but look really good once installed properly. There are times we still fork out the big bucks to have an original one re-plated. That also means having an original one that isn't cracked or broke in any way...……. If you don't have that option these when mounted properly look really nice. . . . .
