    Hi all,

I FINALLY got my repop fender emblems for my 72 GS. Anyone know of a secure , "paint safe" way to mount them without pulling the fenders loose to install the speed nuts on the back ?

    Thanks,
    Harry

Mine use some soft plastic wall anchors. The 'heads' were sanded down to about 1/8". They got pushed into the fender holes, which were slightly too small. When they got in all the way, they were trapped. Then the emblems were carefully pressed into the holes

Been like that since '96, car's a daily summer driver, or was untill 2004. That's a lot of driving to and from work. None ever fell out or even came loose, and I can remove them with a plastic putty knife.

    Works for me

Barrel clips if you can get the right size Harry, or, grind off the studs and use 2 way tape by 3M. :beer Both are paint safe. Just dont do like some idiots do and glue them on. That will take the paint off if the glue holds too good and they have to be removed again for some reason.
