I have a set of the finned aluminum front drums from a '68 GS 400 car. My question is can they be relined? Looks like they are at max right now. Hate to just pitch these neat old drums. Thanks, Egg

Definitely don't pitch them. I think they can be relined. Take one to Napa or your local "good" trustworthy auto parts store or even a brake shop and see what they say. Aluminum fronts are hard to come by. I have the original ones on my car and still have a good amount of meat on them.

Egg, If you that doesn't work. I have a set of glass beaded aluminum drums with plenty of meat. that I will cut you a deal on.

At the very least sell them to a hot rodder so he can cover his disk brakes with those aluminum finned drums.
