Re: radio Bill Thanks!!! I bought it out right from a antique radio dealer that goes by "stlradio". His restoration and follow is the best I've ever seen. AL

Hey Al, I have a rectangular radio like the one you took out in my 69 sky. I have an uncut bezel to restore the original. Is there anything in the back to hod ou the 2 knob radio? Did you make a sheet metal piece to hold it in? I figure tha the previous owner must have cut something to do this. Thanks for any info.
there's nothing back there in my '70. the original radio was so huge, you need to make some brackets. Currently I use some steel strapping and...a...hockey puck...because it's non-conductive
AM/FM Radio Chris, thanks for the reply on k mccarthy's question. The radio was in the car when I got and had a thin metal backing cut the size of the face and a cut out for the radio. I was happy to find the two mounting tabs that held the correct radio were just folded down and not cut off. AL
