Hello, I dove in head first and took all the chrome off the car except the front bumper, the fake vents in the front fenders and the door locks and handles. I am fixxing the rot and touching up the small dents. Once I am done with that I will fill the small imperfections with red lead and then wet sand, with 440, the whole car. I will then try and find a paint shop that will paint my 63 Convertible. I was told that epoxy primer is the way to go. Yes or no? What is the best paint to shoot over epoxy? Am I doin it right? Thanks in advance for your help. Confused in PA. John
uro primer would be the best any paint type will cover without lifting then and the body shop will appretiat that as well it fills the small scratches nice as well and is very think and hard for a primer cost is about the same $100 per gallon with hardner and thinners sprays great with a gravity gun as well 15 psi on the air to the gun and littel or no overspray to it one galon gave me three coats to a 63 riviera so it should do the same for your 63 good luck Greg
