"I have a 1968 Buick GS Convertible two door stck. Its a VERT rare car! It needs a motor and interior carpet. It has rust n ripples in rear quarters and doors. Still looks descent. Everything else works! Drove it till i parked it! Had appraisal done couple years ago for my divorce and without motor was still valued at 13,500. NADA says in rough shape but with motor its worth 10,900. So dont try and low ball me or tell me its not worth so much. They made less than 300 of this exact car. I know alot about how rare this car is. Been in my family for about 30 years. Was restored once and us now showing signs of that. I DO NOT NEED TO SELL THIS and am nit sure if i wanna let it go but cash is king! Title in hand. Thanks Ed"

Someone should get his phone # and name. And just to see if it is a real ad, I'd almost think it was mine! but it's never been to West Branch and has redlines!
They made 351 stick convertibles in '68.

Yah this one made me laugh once I read it the 2nd time.

I'll have to see if I can find the other CL add from Flint for a GS where its like "dont try to lowball me I know what this car is worth" Like my dad used to say... 'its worth what someone will pay for it'

Hey, it's the guy who owns the Buick GS Convertible you guys seem to have so much knowledge about. LoL... Couple things for you "experts". Yup 351 4 speed sticks made correct! But who said it had a 4 speed?? I have a 3 speed ( 79 made ). But i do have a 4 speed for it as well out of another 68'. Also yeah i did drive it till i parked it. Thats usually what you do before you pull the motor to get it tebuilt. I have the original 400 but im keeping it. I Am rebuilding a 1970 455 for it right now but keeping that as well. But i do like all of your opinions on a car youve never seen. So if you have any questions youd like answered feel free to ask away or just ramble on about a specific car you havent seen and know nothing about this car.

Oh sorry for the wrong info guys. Hate for you guys to think something is up. Was just informed by my fathers best froend who helped him restore the car about 30 years ago that the car was originally a 4 speed and they put a 3 speed in it. So i have the original 4 speed in my cousins pole barn for the car. Did you guys follow that?..lol...Oh i'd have know that but my father is deceased and i was like 7 years old when they restored it.

Well the add was posted by a friend for me and highlighted things i sent to him in a text. Im going to keep the 400 cuz im definitely going to keep a piece of what my dad spent time and money amd passion on. Im not selling it for the money to make as much as i can. Im selling so someone elses can enjoy it like we all did and so i can buy a restoration car to restore with my son and hand down just like i did with my dad. It was the time spent and experience why my dad did this and let me be there. So i want to do the same with my son.

I did go through and clean up the add on CL some because he even had the asking price wrong. Some where knocking the add but some where knocking the car they've never seen but thanks for your thread!...:0)..Ed

Hey... Wasn't knocking the car. But your friend sure knows how to post for a laugh.

I agree with atticus though. There is a much larger market for a numbers match car. I do understand the part about it being the engine your dad put time and money into but I expect the number of interested parties would increase by a factor of 10.
