My brother Rick just picked up a very nice restored 65 Barracuda off ebay in Alabama. It's only a 3 speed slant six (probably why it survived in this condition), but he got everything to convert it to a Formula S 273 4 speed like the one he had in the early 70's.

Don't think I've seen one of these there, or anywhere else recently.

    Way to go, Rick!

    Dave,

Nice car! My next door neighbor back in the late 60's had one of these - very nice car. His was dark blue, V8 (273?) not a formula S, 4 speed. I got a few rides in it and thought it was very cool. You're right, don't see many of them.
    very cool!

    Dave ,
Tell him, if he does the 273 thing, to try to dig up an original exhaust system for it. The single pipe with the big square thingie at the back. That was absolutely the neatest sounding V8 I ever heard. There were some Darts with that motor, or Valiants maybe, but they didn't have the "Sound".
After Sat nite's rout by USC, football is no longer an acceptable topic at my house. :ball:

Accurate Ltd. in Oregon makes that system. http://accurateltd.com/

My brother has a 1964 1/2 273 Barracuda. White with gold interior and gold stripe. That 273 winds right up to 6800. I have been bugging him for the past three years to change it to become PSMCDR eligible.
