When getting a TA 212 or any cam for that matter, if your springs and lifters are ok, do you need to go ahead and replace them or can you still use them. Thanks

I think they're asking if the entire valvetrain should be replaced when you change the cam, or if your existing stuff checks out ok, if you can reuse it.

You can reuse the valve springs, but the old lifters absolutely should be replaced with new lifters when installing any new cam. With the Buicks, it is also a good idea if you have the cast/alloy rocker arms to go to the later stamped-steel rockers. TA Performance sells replacement units that come with everything you need.

the rockers should be fine, but as mike said it's good insurance to go ahead and replace them. good stock valve springs will be fine, and pushrods should be okay as long as there is no significant wear. i bought a new set for 30 bucks from summit, though. they seem to be of decent quality.

lifters must be new with any new cam.
